by The old rules were outdated, here are the new rules of Prevailscape and the Prevailscape Forums. By using our services you are permitted to follow each and every rule. Reporting rule breakers must be followed up by evidence to represent the action being taken. The rules are also subject change at anytime without notice, you will still be punished even if you are unaware of the updated rules.
1. Flaming over yell - Flaming is the intense use of insults and foul language directed at a player or players.
(Warning -> 48 hour mute. Then Permanent mute.)
2. Excessive flaming/trolling/bullying - Saying any hurtful comments directed at another player.
(Warning -> 48 hour mute -> IP Mute)
3. Disrespecting staff - Any disrespectful or sexist comments directed at a staff member.
(No warning -> 72 hour mute, if continued ip mute.)
4. Spamming - Spamming is frowned upon, and will not be tolerated. Note, no warning is required for advertising spam. (Administrators are allowed to spam.)
(Warning -> 48 hour mute. ip mute. ip ban.)
5. Real world trading - You may only trade related items/currency/services Prevailscape items for other Prevailscape items/currency/services. On the hand, RS trading is permitted to PREVAILS, no other administrator. (Warning -> IP ban)
6. X-logging - Using any method other than the "Exit to Lobby" or "Log out" feature to log out during a fight, or using a force tele/ticket to teleport away from a fight.
(No warning -> 2 day ban)
7. Multi-logging - Logging in on two accounts at the same to gain an advantage or even in general. However, Administrators are permitted to do so.
(No warning -> 2 day Ban)
8. Scamming/attempting to scam - Attempting to scam someone deliberately or using some form of deceit. This includes price manipulation.
Not to be mistaken with the buyer and seller of an item agreeing on a price either high/low, the choice is their own and is not scamming unless they did what was explained above.
(No warning -> 2 day ban)
9. Staff luring - Luring a staff member by asking them to teleport to you is against the rules. However, luring them the same way you would lure a regular player is okay.
(No warning ->; 2 day ban)
10. Bug abuse - Abusing a bug so that you have a advantage over another player.
(No warning -> Action taken is at the staff's discretion)
11. Botting/cheating/macroing - Using an external program or abusing an exploit to gain an unfair advantage. This includes account giveaways.
(No warning -> 2 day ban)
12. Account Sharing - This is allowed.
13. Voting - Do not abuse the voting system, it is currently bugged. (2 hour mute, items taken, -> ban)
14. Discrimination - Discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, race, religious views, sexuality, etc. This includes using derogatory words being used as insults.
(Warning -> 48 hour mute)
15. Staff impersonation - Impersonating a staff member or saying you are staff when you are not. All staff have a golden or silver crown next to their name, watch out for imposters!
(Warnings may be given -> permanent ban)
16. DDoSing - Threatening to DDoS someone or DDoSing someone is a severe action and the punishment will be severe. It is illegal and we do not allow it.
(No warning -> IP ban)
17. Duping or possession of duped items - Duping is when you use a exploited bug to duplicate or unfairly gain an item.
(No warning -> permanent ban)
18. Ban evasion - Do not try in anyway to get your account un-banned, you must wait till the sentence is over. (no warning -> ipban or extension of the ban.
19. Advertising - Advertising other sites servers.
(No warning -> IP ban)
20. Safe spotting - This is not against the rules, safe spots are allowed. (But, eventually will get fixed.)
21. ::Ticket abuse - Do not abuse the ::ticket feature.
(Punishment depends on the severity and frequency of the abuse)
22. Staking Scamming - Changing the rules of the stake without discretion of the other player is a scam, also using a staff of light in the stake is a scam.
(No warning -> 48 hour ban)
FORUM/SHOUTBOX RULES:
1. Spamming - Posting a reply to a thread that has no relevance to the subject, This includes threads that does not relate to you, nor about you, on which if you reply on that has nothing to do about the thread.
(Warning + Post removed -> 2 day forum ban)
2. Excessive swearing - Keep cursing at the minimum.
(Warning -> 1 day forum ban)
3. Gravedigging - Posting on a thread that hasn't been replied to in at least a month.
(Warning + Post removed -> 3 day forum ban)
4. Flaming/fighting - Do not flame or fight on threads or the shoutbox. Do so via private message. Arguing may or may not be considered trolling. You may debate and have discussions even if you disagree, but keep it mature.
(Warning -> 1-5 day forum ban)
6. Disrespecting staff - Any disrespectful comment to any staff member.
(Warning -> 1-7 day forum ban)
7. Falsifying reports - False accusations will not be tolerated.
(Warning -> 2 day forum ban -> permanent forum ban)
8. Moderator application offenses - Posting a moderator application that breaks the moderator application guidelines, this includes posting another application within a month of the last being closed and posting trolling moderator applications.
(Warning -> 1 day ban)
9. Discrimination - Discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, race, religious views, ect.
(Warning -> 7 day/permanent forum ban)
10. Staff impersonation - Impersonating a staff member or saying you are staff. Remember! All staff members have a silver/golden crown next to their name!
(2 day forum ban -> permanent forum ban)
11. DDoSing/threatening to DDoS - Threatening to DDoS someone or DDoSing someone is a severe action and the punishment will be severe, it is illegal, and we do not allow it.
(No warning -> permanent forum ban/in-game ip ban and any other form of punishment.)
12. Redirects - Redirects are not allowed. This is not acceptable. ex. www.google.ca redirects to porn.
(Action taken is at the staff's discretion)
13. Ban evasion - Creating a new account to avoid a ban on another account. However, you may create another account to post an appeal if you are banned from the forums.
(No warning -> permanent forum ban)
14. Threatening the well-being of the server and/or its players - Any comments made that threaten the well-being of the server or any players will not be tolerated.
(Warning may be given -> IP ban/in-game ban)
15. Hacking another user/sharing accounts - Hacking other users and sharing accounts will not be tolerated.
(No warning -> IP ban/ in-game ban)
16. Advertising - Advertising Websites, or Products.
